quantum asked me to post some plays on the scottish lower league i am playing, so here they go

1st league

Hamilton- Morton: Hamilton -1 @1.80 !! 2 units!!

Hamilton league leader. not dominant right now, but very solid at home. they are in tough race for promotion with dundee, so a win of lowly morton is a must. Morton lost last 6 games and Hamilton won all 3 games so far this season in this matchup.

2d division

Berwick- Alloa: Alloa -0.5 @ 1.82

Again a play against Berwick. i said enough about them in the midweek play in quantums thread. they are plain horrible. alloa need the points vs. releagtion and has won this season 3-0 at Berwick and 2-1 at home vs. them

3rd division

East fife- Albion Rovers: East fife -1.5 @1.80

league leader is the dominant team in the league

Montrose- East STirling: Montrose -1 @1.80

Montrose is race for promotion play-offs is one of the top 3 teams in league. east stirling in the bottom half not on a solid streak right now.

chris, I already got my fade in against Berwick but the other picks were posted at 3am my time. I didn't have a chance to play these. Is there a chance you could post them at an earlier time? Thanks.

I hope you don't mind me posting the results.

Hamilton 3, Morton 0, WINNER
Alloa 2, Berwick 1, WINNER
Fife 0, Albion 0, Loss
Montrose 2, East Stirling 0, WINNER

Nicely done.

so far 8-1 +6.67 units

lets step down to the "lowlands" again

Tuesday:

1st division

Dundee- Livingston: DUndee -0.5,-1 @ 1.87

Dundee togeth with Hamilton the dominant team in the league..every win is a must in this tight race for promotion

2nd Division

Ross- Ayr: Ross -1 @ 1.85 !! 2 units!!

going to the dominant team here again, especially at home. Ayr slumping right now.

Beware of Berwick-fade. Cowdenbearth might be the only team not winning against them (they have already one draw )

3rd division

Forfar- Arbroath: Arbroath -0.5 @1.89

Arbrough is in a tight race for promotion play-offs and closing the gap fast with some great results over the top teams lately. Forfar should not stop them.

-----------
Beware it s awful weather in scotland and big storm if heavy rain hitting the country right now, so some games might be in danger to be postponed..on the other hand: these guys are used to play in dirty weather and for a 3rd division scotland match storm, snow or hail cannot bring down any skills anyway.

------------
some comments from the celtic coach from last week sums it up (and he talk premiere league, not third division)

Scottish football is poor product - GS

Fri 29 Feb, 03:45 PM

Celtic boss Gordon Strachan says a combination of poor facilities and the weather has left Scottish football offering its fans a poor product. The Hoops boss spent Friday morning struggling to communicate with his players in the wind and rain in a short training session ahead of Saturday's SPL clash with Hibernian at Easter Road.
Strachan admits he may have to ask the club to extend the indoor facility at the club's new purpose-built training complex at Lennoxtown but insists the problem is Scotland-wide.
Strachan said: "I'm luckier than most coaches in Scotland. We have a superb training ground where the surfaces can take water.
"We have an indoor facility but it's not a full-size pitch. That's not helpful, not at all although it's handy for warm-ups.
"We will think about extending it but we are not just thinking about Celtic, we are talking about the Scottish game and we must think outside Celtic and Rangers.
"It is nearly impossible at this moment to coach players and I feel that the product can be a lot better if we had more time to spend coaching.
"The coaches are determined to work hard but unfortunately because of facilities and weather, they can't give the hours that they want to give. It's not fair on the public either.
"We are trying to explain things to players on a board but it's far better to do your coaching on the training field.
"But even when you are doing your coaching on the training pitch, the players can't hear you when you are more than 20 yards away."
Strachan continued: "The surfaces are poor which is not conducive to good football.
"I keep going back to the Falkirk game recently, that was as bad a game as I've seen. It was impossible.
"There was wind and rain, the surface was horrendous and there wasn't a decent shot and that's what we have to put up with in this weather. "So it's a problem for Scottish football."

Thanks much for the input chris. I'm going to be placing my bets a few hours before the matches since books available to Americans aren't offering these just yet.

going 1-2 midweek, now 9-3 in these league.

not much value on saturday

2nd. division:

Ayr- Ross: Ross -0.5 @1.89

going back with Ross here again... it s the exact rematch as in wednesday s loss, where Ross laid a big egg at home, loosing 2-4 after being 0-4 down to crappy Ayr. i read a report about this game, that Ross had a substitute goalie playing, who basically gave up all the goals and Ross could make up for it despite frantic attacks. I go with the much better team here again, even away. simply as a revange game. you dont embarrase the league leader at home like that with having to pay for that...away win will bring midweek money back

Cowdenbearth- Berwick: Cowenbearth -0.5,-1 @1.90

i said on wednesday that this match up migh be the chance for hopeless Bewick to get a point (then at home). and they found a way to blew it again loosing 4-5 !!!! now cowdenb. at home fighting against relegation and coming off this big away win. while Berwick is hopeless and almost relegated. now away should not be a good spot

Although i dont trust Aberdeen in Premiere League..the Gretna fade mightbe a good play (see Rolltide s thread)

I'm on these as well chris. Thanks for posting these a day early.

I've lost the last 2 bets on Ross but I think 3rd time's a charm based upon what you have written here.

Berwick scared me mid-week going up 4-3 but Cowdenbeath came back didn't they? I'm looking at the over again when I can find a book that lists it tomorrow.
